

William Duggins of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on December 2, 1945, in Mineola, NY, to Ben Duggins and Helen Parbus Duggins, who both preceded him in death, William's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a passion for his interests.
William is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Duggins, whom he married on April 7, 1979; his daughters Deanna Vail and Jolene Duggins; his son William Duggins; his brother Ben Duggins; as well as nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, William’s service to his country was a source of great pride. After his military career, he worked as a Service Technician for Pac Bell for 32 years. Alongside his professional achievements, he pursued further education, earning a degree in business from Cuesta College.
William's life was rich with varied interests. He was an ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys and had a deep appreciation for Rock’n Roll music. His favorite TV shows included "The Chicagos" and "Yellowstone," while his favorite movie was "High Road to China." William also had a flair for cooking, delighting his family with his renowned enchiladas and meatloaf.
A native of Arroyo Grande, where he graduated from Arroyo Grande High School, William found joy in his retirement years, spending his time building wooden yard art, playing the guitar, and indulging in his love for NASCAR. His creative spirit extended to his yard art, a testament to his craftsmanship and dedication.
William was actively involved with the American Legion, reflecting his commitment to community and camaraderie. His travels took him to Mexico, England, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy, enriching his life with diverse experiences and memories.
A visitation will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 16, at Cotton Lane Resort in Goodyear, Arizona. In honoring his life, we remember William Duggins as a devoted family man, a proud veteran, a talented cook, and a passionate individual whose presence touched the lives of many. William’s legacy will be cherished by those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in his memory.
