

Allen Patrick Wright, 92, of Cocoa, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born in Pueblo, CO on May 12, 1923. Allen was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Thelma, who preceded him in death. He had six children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Allen was a family man and enjoyed being active as he raised his children. He was a Little Leaque baseball coach, Boy Scout leader, and church usher. He also enjoyed family cookouts and breakfast with his children and grandchildren.Allen was a WWII veteran and retired from the Air Force in 1966. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii during the Japanese attack on Pearly Harbor on December 7, 1941. He fought the war in the pacific. After the war, he participated in the Berlin Airlift. His military travels took him and his family to Germany, Miami, FL, Charleston, SC, Denver, CO, Cape Cod, MA, Roswell, NM, Spain, and Madison, WI. He retired in Orlando, FL where he lived until 2006 when he moved to Cocoa, FL.Allen enjoyed wood working including making wooden cars and trains for donation to children in need. He was a sign maker at local flea markets. He enjoyed gardening. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Allen lived a rich and full life.Allen is survived by children Michael Wright (Dodie), Linda Hogg (Bruce), Mark Wright, Kathleen Mollica, Sharon Wright, and Matthew Wright, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his pet dog Rocky.
