

Anthony Domenick DiPietro – September 23,1949 – September 22, 2021, was born to Santo Joseph DiPietro and Charlotte Pearl Graff DiPietro at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Anthony was a proud son of New York City having grown up on the lower East-Side and later Manhattan and Brooklyn. A lifelong N.Y. Giants football fan, he enjoyed the ups and downs of every football season. Anthony graduated from NY city public schools and City College. In summers, he worked as a camp counselor in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. This led to a lifelong love of the outdoors. In 1985, he moved to Florida where he met Virginia Jo Riddle Baker, the love of his life. Ginny and Tony were married in 1986 and lived together in Apopka until Ginny’s passing in 2019. Tony worked for Reynolds Advance Materials a division of Smooth On. Tony is thankful for his work family and his experience with them.
Tony is survived by his son William T. Baker, his daughter in law Ann M. Baker, his daughter, Suzanne R. Baker Self and his son-in-law, Eben C. Self and his four granddaughters, Grace, Harper, Brooke, and Emerson Self. Tony also leaves behind his brother William Joseph DiPietro and his wife, Roseann Grace Panepinto DiPietro of Falls River, NJ. Tony is predeceased by his sister, Linda Geraldine DiPietro Taranovich and is missed greatly by his nieces Diana Campbell, Jessica Taranovich, and Jennifer Taranovich. Tony was beloved by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734 at 11:30am on Saturday October 16, 2021 for both Tony and Ginny. A celebration of life lunch to follow in the meadows room at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
