

Bill Dishon, 95 of Orlando, Florida, passed away in his sleep on July 6, 2017. He was born July 10, 1921 near Limon, Colorado. He spent his childhood on a farm near Troy, Kansas. He was the 4th of 5 children. He served in World War II in Patton’s 3rd Army 80th Division Artillery Battery 315. He was awarded a Silver Star. After his enlistment he returned to St. Joseph, Missouri, where he met Clara Bernice Kaiser who he married June 24, 1948. For the next 14 years, Bill and his family lived in St. Joseph. He spent most of those years in the automotive service and tire business.
In 1962 Bill, Bernice, his stepson, stepson’s wife and oldest granddaughter moved to Orlando, Florida where Bill continued a career he started with General Tire Service in St. Joseph. In November of 1971 Bill became the President and Co-Founder of Precision Tire Company, where he worked until he retired in the mid-1980s.
He was a successful business owner, great salesman, avid fisherman and prided himself for always having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. He had a clever wit and kept us all laughing.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, his 3 brothers and sister, his two step sons, and a granddaughter. He is survived by 1 daughter-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
He will be interred with his wife Bernice at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Florida at 11:00am on July 11, 2017. A graveside service will be performed for family and close friends.
