Charles Sumner Mihalik

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Chuck was the son of Andrew S. Mihalik and Maxine M. Mihalik. He was a proud graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he was actively involved in the theater as a member of the King’s Players.

Chuck honorably served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1968. During his service, he received several commendations, including the U.S. Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following his military service, Chuck enjoyed a distinguished 34-year career with Johnson & Johnson in Skillman, New Jersey, where he worked as a Purchasing Manager in Process Materials. He was widely respected by colleagues for his quick wit, humor, and kindness.

Chuck found joy in reading, swimming, spending time at the beach, and never missed his children’s sporting events. His warm spirit and deep love for his family will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew S. Mihalik and Maxine M. Mihalik, and his son, Andrew M. Mihalik.

Chuck is survived by his children: Charles G. Mihalik (Ann), Donald Mihalik (Carol), Sean Mihalik, and Christine Mihalik; his siblings: Gini D'Orso, Judy Huebscher Woll, and Steve Mihalik (Brenda); and his three grandchildren: Andrew Mihalik, Sydney Mihalik, and C.J. Mihalik, along with many nieces and nephews.

A life well lived and deeply loved, Chuck leaves behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 16th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.
