

Colin N. Kelly peacefully passed away on June 14th, 2025 at 1:11AM. He was surrounded by loved ones. Colin was a devoted husband to Donna for 59 years and a loving father to his daughters, Colene Rivera and Kari Ann Mirabal. Colin was born in Alton, IL on June 18th, 1943 and spent his formative years in Vandalia, IL.
Colin later moved his family to Springfield, IL, where he dedicated his career as a guidance counselor at Springfield High School. He was passionate about inspiring students and mentoring them, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. After a fulfilling career, he retired to Winter Garden, FL.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by his family and friends. He was a proud grandfather to Rylan Lawrence, Justus Mirabal, Caitlyn Rivera, and Markus Mirabal. He found great joy in his role as a father-in-law to Rafi Rivera and a grandfather-in-law to Ryan Lawrence.
Throughout his life, Colin lived with a spirit of faith and compassion. He was a devoted Christian who found strength and comfort in his faith, spreading kindness and warmth to all who knew him.
Colin will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his love for storytelling, and his unwavering dedication to his family. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and the joy found in everyday moments.
A private service will be held for Colin at the request of the family.
