

David Williams, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024. Born on March 3, 1932, to Walter and Evangeline Williams in St.James Barbados. David lived a life marked by love, dedication, and faith. He migrated to the U.S. and in 1960, he married Ernestine Burrowes at St. Margaret's Church on 122nd Street and Lenox Avenue. Their marriage was one of deep commitment and enduring love, a bond that lasted a lifetime.
David worked in the maintenance department at Einstein Hospital for many years, earning a reputation for his hard work and reliability. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired leaving behind a legacy of service. He relocated with his wife to Orlando.
As a proud member of the Prince Hall Masonic Temple of Harlem and a Mason in Antioch Lodge #66, David was deeply involved in his community. His commitment to Masonic principles reflected his strong values and dedication to brotherhood.
A devout Christian, he joined St.Mary of Angels Episcopal Church.He rarely missed a Sunday service, living by the principles of love, kindness, and faith. His relationship with God was central to his life, guiding him in all that he did.
David had a passion for history and enjoyed sharing stories of the past, enriching not only his own life but also the lives of those around him. His family meant the world to him, he cherished his dear wife, often mailing her countless cards to express his love and appreciation.
In his memory, David leaves behind his son, Edwin, as well as his grandchildren Ian (Maxi), Jason (Michelle), Pierre (Tamara), Aaron, and Andre (Tasha), granddaughter Alyssa, and his beloved great-grandchildren Kayla-Simone, Ayanna, Anaya, Alex, Anthony, and (AJ). David is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestine, son Emmerson (Frank) and daughters-in-law Patricia and Arlene.
David Williams will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Angels, 6316 Matchett Rd, Orlando, FL 32809. A celebration of life service will occur Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 6316 Matchett Rd, Orlando, FL 32809. An interment will occur Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
