Donald William (Bill) Martin Jr. of Orlando, Florida passed from this earth on December 19, 2016. Born 1929 in Henderson, Kentucky, he was the son of Miriam K. and Donald William Martin Sr. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Sarah A. Martin. He is survived by son Donald W. (Thad) Martin III (Jo Waits), daughter Kym Marco (Dennis), granddaughter Karin M. Beal and his twin sister Catherine Haberstroh.
Bill was a true southern gentleman known for his kindness, wit and wisdom. He was a graduate of Indiana University and persued a career in the early field of computer science. He continued this career until retirement from Lockheed Martin.
His love of golf began in his teens as a caddie, but soon found playing the game as his passion. He enjoyed many years of golf with the West Orange Country Club members and staff that were often close friends.
Our family thanks all of Bill's friends, family and healthcare providers for the encouragement, support and love shown during his illness.
