Edward J. Almstedt, 87, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on June 14, 1928 in Torrington, Connecticut to the late Edward P. and Emma (Goodman) Almstedt. Mr. Almstedt was a veteran in the United States Army. He was a retired executive sales manager in the consumer products industry. He was a member of the American Legion and Elks Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Marion C. Almstedt; children, Ed Almstedt, Jr., Sandy (Ed) Grobelny, Michael (Linda) Almstedt and Patti (Scott) Hood; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
