Eleuteria Ruiz, age 91, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on February 20, 1934 to parents, Herminio and Maria Padilla Ruiz. She had seven siblings, Ismael, Sylvia, Monserate, Casia, Ramon, Rosa, and Mercedes.
Her greatest moments in life were her wonderful children, making a better life for them and bring them to the U.S. She had fond memories of her own childhood in Puerto Rico, and she learned to persevere and never give up. She loved salsa music and old Mexican songs, enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking and loved have family get togethers. She was strong, hardworking loyal and a wonderful caregiver.
Eleuteria is survived by her children, Gladys Deleon, Ramon Cortes, Zenaida Cortez, and Anibal Cortez; her grandchildren, Kenia, Diana, Danny, Desiree, Joshua, Leilani, Stephany, Ramon Jr., and Cynthia.; and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation for Eleuteria will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
