Florence Jane Stewart, 98, passed away on July 13, 2015. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 9, 1916 to Harry and Gertrude Rogers. She started school in Rochester, NY. The family later moved to Florida via North Carolina. The family settled at a homestead south of Winter Garden, FL for a number of years. The family later moved to Orlando, FL. She attended high school in Winter Garden and graduated from OHS in Orlando. She later married a gentleman named George Stewart. She had 3 boys named David, John and George. Florence and George started a water well drilling company called Central Florida Well Drillers in 1945 in Orlando. She attended junior college at different times in Orlando. She was a bookkeeper at Central Florida Well Drillers as well as a homemaker. Later her husband and she traveled on tours all over the world. Florence is preceded in death by her beloved husband of George Stewart (December 29, 2004). Graveside service will be Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
