Pete Harrison, age 71 of Dr. Phillips died on May 13th, 2016. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Rieder and her husband, Chris of Dr. Phillips. He is also survived by daughters Miriam and Amanda Harrison of Miami, two grand daughters, Paloma Morales-Harrison and Annabella Hernandez and one grandson, Domingo Morales-Harrison.
Pete was a fourth generation Floridian born in Orlando. He attended public schools in Brevard, Dade and Orange counties. For many years, he was a roofer and a member of Union Locals in Miami and Orlando. He was an Ocoee Police Reservist. Pete served the Orange County Sheriff's Office for 24 years before retiring. When he spoke of his years "on the roof" and in law enforcement, he always spoke of his good fortune in being able to follow in the footsteps of all his boyhood heroes.
Pete believed in the death and resurrection of Jesus and he was a Lutheran. Graveside services were at Woodlawn, Gotha, Florida. Rev. Roberto Rojas officiated the burial.
