

George Alonzo McLean, 90, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2016. He was born in Nashville, TN on May 14, 1925 to the late Frank and Katherine McLean. He grew up in Mississippi, attended the University of Mississippi, and served his country as a navigator in the US Airforce. He relocated the family to Florida in 1955, and ultimately retired from the insurance business in Orlando. George is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Martha Crabbe Mclean, and his two sisters Margaret Kreher and Katherine Taylor. He is survived by his sister Anne Henderson, his children, Frank Read McLean, Dorothy (Dot) Weir, Martha Duncan Furneaux and her husband Glenn, 5 grandchildren, Staci Baily and her husband Bryan, Todd Furneaux and his wife Alicia, Austin McLean, Parker Mclean and Hadley Mclean, and 3 great-grandchildren, Ansley Bailey, Chase Bailey, and Steele Furneaux, and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Windsor Place at Orlando Lutheran Towers for the loving care provided to both George and Martha over the past 4 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in their name to The Foundation of Orlando Lutheran Towers, or Cornerstone Hospice who took exquisite care of both of them in their final days.
