

He loved flying even when a toddler. His Uncle Elmer took him on a flight when he was 8 or 9 years old. When a teenager, he saved money from mowing lawns for his flying lessons.
He graduated from Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Florida in 1953 where he played football and baseball.
After high school he joined the U.S Marines and spent 4 years flying as a radar operator in S. Korea, Hawaii, and the USA.
After the Marines, he started flying smaller airplanes and instructing at Cable Airport in Upland, CA. Later he flew Stearmans as a crop duster in GA and FL.
He married Ann Libben (from Ohio) in 1960. She was an elementary teacher in Pomona, CA. They had an exciting life of work and travel. No children.
Glen was an airline pilot for 30 years. He flew for Taca Airlines (Airline of El Salvador) for 20 years based in New Orleans, LA. He also flew for Florida Express (Orlando, FL) and Braniff Airlines for 5 years until Braniff went bankrupt. The last 5 years of flying, he flew the CEO of the Saudi Arabian Telephone Company in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Over the years he flew 12 different aircrafts: J3 Cub, Cessna 150, Luscomb, Aero Commander, Twin Beech, DC3, bi-wing Stearman for crop dusting, Convair 340, DC-4, Lockheed Electra-P3, BAC111, and Boeing 737.
Glen was an avid sports person playing tennis, snow skiing, sailing, jogging, and belonged to the YMCA. He also loved gardening, reading, pets, travel and humor.
Glen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann, and sisters Myrtice Dickson, and Paulette Bradberry.
