
Willey, Gonda (age 97) of Bay Hill, Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on September 26th. Gonda was born in Fayette, Ohio on November 20th, 1919 to Walter and Lydia Dillworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, R. Wade Willey, and her daughter, Marcia Altshuler. She is survived by her son, Stephen D. (Kannika) Page and her daughter, Cheryl (Dr. Jack) Yager. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Michael Goetz, Patrick Goetz, Kelley Ziesemer, Stephen W. Page, Courtney Alonso, Marc D. Page, and Mackenzie Snook, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Thais Wigner, one niece and one nephew. Gonda owned and operated her own real estate agency in southern Michigan during the first 18 years of her career. She specialized in marketing resort properties in the Devil’s Lake and Round Lake areas of lower Michigan. Following the death of her husband in 1969, she moved to Orlando, acquired the Lake Fairview Apartments, and converted them to condominiums in the early 1970s, creating a new real estate trend. Completing that project, she and her partners proceeded to successfully acquire, convert, and market Chateau du Lac Apartments in Winter Park. She remained in general real estate until 1990 when she retired to care for her granddaughter, Mackenzie. Her special interest and “apple of her eye” for the past couple of years has been the family pug, Toby. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, October 6, at 11AM, followed by a reception in the church hall.
