Gracie L. Carter, 72, of Astor, FL passed away on March 5, 2013. She was born on July 2, 1940 in Monroe, NC to the late Roy and Grace Ellerbee. Gracie enjoyed gardening, photography, going to church and most of all being the matriarch of the family. She is survived by her husband, Charles L. "Butch" Carter; sons, Acey (Barbel) Mixon, Jr., Roy (Sonia) Mixon, Michael Mixon; daughter, Gina Mixon-Wright; stepson, Chuck (Tloa) Carter; stepdaughter, Wendy (Theo) Ely; brothers, Ronald and Donald Ellerbee; sisters, Louise Kinger, Sylvia Davis, Judith Smith and Karen Ellerbee; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
