My friendship with Sister Hazel Wright started nine years ago, I have attended church with her for over a decade, but we became friends through her two grandchildren Gary and Whitney.  Sister Hazel would pop in during my Children's Sabbath school class and shoot the breeze (during snack time of course).  She would share with me her life experiences, the ups and downs.  My interactions with Sister Hazel have always been positive; even if it surrounded her reprimanding her grandchildren for acting up in my class when they were young (the Bible explains this is also a form of love).  One of my fondest memories of her was in 2012; she and I participated in a Bible Class that called for role play activity.  I was amazed by how spot on she was with understanding how to approach a person who had not made a decision to give there life to the Lord.  She encouraged us to do more listening and less preaching, to show compassionate and empathy as we were all once in sin and fell short of the glory of God.  I still remember her advice and thought if this seventy-year old woman could be in the world and not jaded by it, so could I.  Sister Hazel Wright will be missed, we loved her dearly.
