We met Jeff , Mona & the boys 1994 .
We quickly became great friends/family , 
Adam & our son Billy were in 1st grade ~ high school together .
Jeff & I spent the last month together often , I got to know him better each day .
Jeff would do anything for anyone with a kind heart & soul , the same for dear Mona .
I will be here for you Mona & we love y'all dearly , 
Jeff will be missed by our family !

Met Jeff 50 years ago. We Competed against each other on different fishing boats that we Captain. His Passion was fishing, and he was a great fisherman. He left the bay 25 years ago to live here in Florida, and we met up again 5 years ago. We fished almost every Thursday. He will be missed.His last trip on a boat was on a cruise ship which I had the pleasure to keep him and his wife company. May he rest in peace.

I met Jeff when I started to work as a mate on the Pilot II in the early 70's. I was a kid, and Jeff took me under his wing and became a very significant mentor. I truly enjoyed working with Jeff and learned the art of being a top mate, and black fisherman. I will miss him always, and will always hear his voice "Hawking fisherman on Emmons Avenue".

Jeff Brent was a man of dignity and integrity. Jeff and I go back into the 70' first as a mate  then as a Captain. Jeff was so proud when he put on his Pilot 11 Captains Hat. Later on in life we reconnected again and we reminisced about the old days at least 2 or 3 times a month for years. We reunited a few years ago - fishing in florida
When Jeffrey was diagnosed I tried to cheer him up but the dreaded disease was spreading and Jeff always talked about his family, kids and friends whom he loved and we his friends loved him back.

Jeff and I go back 42 years that is a lifetime for most of us. I will always remember & cherish  the great times we both shared over the years. 
Rest easy my friend' until we meet again.   God bless your soul
