John was married to Lois M. Devitt on December 30th, 1967. He was an electrical engineer for NASA, Fairchild Republic, Martin Marietta and Northrup Grumman. He was a member of Holy Family Knights of Columbus and his passions included family, God, golf and running.
John is survived by son Sean Devitt (Claudia); son Terry Devitt (Michelle); and son Brian Devitt (Melissa); grandchild Andrew Devitt, grandchild Colin Devitt, grandchild Gabriella Devitt, grandchild Taylor Devitt and grandchild Carson Devitt (Morgan).
A visitation for John will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Gotha, Florida 34734. A vigil service will occur Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 8, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
