Kathleen E. Thompson, age 59, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021, at her home in Clermont, Florida. She was born April 25, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Thomas and Kathleen (Turschak) Shugart. She moved to Florida as a young adult where she met and later married the love of her life, James C. Thompson on March 27, 1987, in Apopka, FL. They were married for 34 beautiful years, and the best part of every day was greeting each other with a hug and a kiss after work. She loved Jesus and sought God for guidance in all aspects of life. Every single day of her life held purpose and intent. Kathleen thought of everyone around her as a friend or family member and put each of their needs before own. She was the brightest, most generous, hilarious, selfless, imaginative, influential soul in the world. Kathleen impacted every human she met, from her lifelong childhood friends, to cashiers at the convenience store. She effortlessly made everyone feel secure, vulnerable, and cared for. Kathleen is so loved and loves so deeply. She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Jessica and Jamie; father, Thomas; aunt, Paulette; siblings, Victoria, Ingrid, Ursula, Shannon, Melissa, Tommy, Tiffany and Rocky; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
