She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 2nd, 1928.
She was married to Captain Wilbur N. Sims on June 21, 1947 who passed away on January 22nd, 2010.
She was a long-standing member of Windermere Union Church and had a passion for traveling, playing Bridge and singing in the choir.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David N and Val Sims, her daughter Laura K Pinto, daughter-in-laws, Janet Sims and Cecelia Sims. Grandkids: Rachel Sims, Christiana Gonzalez, Darcey Allan, Celeste Sims, Carolyn Aviles and Alex Sims. Great Grandkids: Jordan Mainer, Mea Sanchez, Alicia, Isabella, and Christian Aviles, Darnell (DJ) Thompson, and Neo Gonzalez.
She joins her husband Bill Sims, her sons John T Sims, Stephen P Sims and her siblings Thomas, Eleanor, Lillian, Phyllis, Glenna and Marilyn in heaven.
A service will be held at a later date hopefully in the Spring of 2021.
