

Kenneth R. Kimmel, 53, of Orlando, FL passed away on November 24, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in St. Paul, MN on November 16, 1964, and moved to Florida with his family when he was 4. He was a devoted husband, loving father, kind son and brother. He started his career working with his father at Richard’s Pawn and Appliance and later went on to pursue technical training and entered the field of mechanics and sales. He worked at Southeast Power Systems of Orlando for more than 15 years. Ken spent time coaching his son at different sports, and did some volunteering at Give Kids the World. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and had a love for camping, fishing, cars and relaxing on the beach.
Survivors include his son Zackery; wife of 19 years Tina; mother Frances; sister Gloria (Paul Marco); brother Ron (Jean Kimmel); sister Karin (Dan Burgun); brother Rob; loving pet Mocha; along with an uncle, aunts, many cousins, and extended family.
The Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, 407-293-1361. Family viewing will be held at 9:30am, a public viewing will follow at 10:00 am and a gathering after the service for anyone wishing to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Give Kids the World and the American Heart Association, in memory of Ken.
