Deeply saddened to learn of Ken’s passing today.  He was one of my favorite bosses, and ultimately became a good friend.  I recall a particular trip to Hong Kong, in which we had to spend significant time hunting for a mechanical, “robot puppy” for his boys.  Ken was so excited about this purchase he had to tell me all about his “practicing” with it in his hotel room.  I gave him grief about it, because it wasn’t clear who this “puppy” was really for!
Ken had a great laugh and was a good man.  My deepest condolences to his wife Yolanda and their sons, Kristopher and Nicholas.

Hello Yolanda, Kristopher, Nicholas, and Vince - this is Bill Lonett, an old high school friend and college roommate.  It is with great sadness and broken heart that I send out all my sympathy. Ken and I had great times together. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family!

I’m an old friend from high school and I’m heartbroken to hear of this news. I, along with Bill Lonett, were in Junior Achievement together with Ken and were recognized by then-Mayor of Pittsburgh, Richard Caliguiri. We won third best Company of the Year (nationwide - 1978) for our achievements.

Ken and I connected early in my career.  As we worked together, he grew to become a trusted colleague, mentor and friend for me and so many others.   My deepest sympathies to Yolanda, Kristopher, Nicholas and family. 

My sincere condolences Yolanda to you and the boys.  My heart breaks for you.  Ken was a wonderful person.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  If you need anything, please call me......  Lots of Love and Hugs!!!

Ken was an amazingly genuine man.  He always had a smile on his face and casually would roam the office and loved to chat with anyone about work or just about anything.  He was so well liked by all areas of the company and we all called him the "mayor."  He was also an extremely talented IT & Business leader who was the "glue" for so many large scale projects for Wyndham.  I truly enjoyed working with Ken, traveling with him, joking with him, and just being around him .  He will be deeply missed by so many he touched.  My deepest sympathy's to Yolanda, Kristopher, Nicholas and the rest of the family.

I once made a comment to Ken about wishing I had an office so I could work quietly instead of my cubicle where it tends to be noisy. When he began working a lot from home, he'd often offer up his office to me. This is just one example of the kindness and generosity Ken offered to those around him.

Yolanda, Ken will be missed by many who he often shared a laugh,  a story or just a quick hello with over the many years we had with him. Even when he slowed down a bit, he never missed a beat and kept us all on our toes.

Yolanda and Family.   Although I haven't worked with Ken for a few years, I had the pleasure and privilege of working with him for several years at Wyndham/Cendant.    Regardless of which role I was in with the organization, Ken consistently provided my co-workers and I with respect, professionalism, creativity, and a healthy dose of wit and humor.     I know I am far from alone in telling you that my co-workers and I enjoyed working with him a great deal!

I am so thankful to have known Ken. He really made working so much fun for me and our entire team. He truly cared about people. He always made time for others and he truly listened. Having started a family of my own, I really enjoyed hearing him talk about his and how his face would light up about them. I'm praying for your family- that God's peace and love carry them through and surround them during this season.

The scene: OLCC town center, second floor BRM offices. I was chatting with Jessie and I hear Ken call for me “Hey Edna come here.”  I walked into his office where he proceeds to get up and walk away from his desk asking me who do we call to get rid of that. ‘THAT’ was a huge spider crawling on his wall and he was clearly not okay with the little critter. I laughed and said “It ain’t harming you.”  And as on queue the little guy decides to B-line to Ken. I have never watch Ken move so fast out of his office! Lol      I got rid of the little dude and forever became Ken’s hero! Lololol good times!!! 

Yolanda, thinking of and praying for you and the boys. Ken was a truly kind and generous person in heart and deed. I loved working for and with him. His “drive bys as the Gov’nor” was classic Ken and we loved it. He made me better at my job and better in life. I’ll never forget his “Buon Natale!” story, much less the impact he’s had on my life and the lives of all who called him colleague and friend. 

Ken and I worked together not just at Wyndham, but also with the YMCA Indian Guides with our sons as "Chiefs of the Cherokee Nation".  Ken was such a good dad and calm steady force.  He would stop by my office from time to time and we would share memories of our time together while guiding our elementary aged children to be good citizens.  Will miss him.  Noonway Ken.

Yolanda, prayers going out to you and your family.  I have many wonderful, fun memories of good times with Ken while we were both 'supposed' to be working.       His chuckle and smile  will be missed!

I loved working with Ken. He was a rare combination of creative problem solver and  deep technical knowledge. I especially loved when he would stroll around the office for his drive-bys. Ken always "made the rounds" and stopped by to visit his colleagues and friends at work.  He was well liked by everyone and was a real "people person." He will be missed!
