After Larry graduated from high school, he entered the military and served in the United States Army for seven years. During that time, he lived in Korea for several years.
Larry worked in Security for The Walt Disney Company, and enjoyed his time working in Investigations. He became an Investigations Manager, then went back in the field as a Security Operations Manager. Before his retirement in December 2017, he led the Walt Disney World Access Control team for 14 years.
Larry had a passion for the outdoors including fishing, hunting, photography and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda. He is survived by his mother, Mary Tyson; his partner, Diane Rafter, his stepsons, Walter and Pierson and his Labrador, Charlie. Larry also leaves behind many cherished friends from his tenure with The Walt Disney Company. He has dear friends from Kentucky and Ohio where he would often go hunting.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 5:30 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 pm.
