

Marilyn McCuiston, 80, of Apopka, passed away on September 2nd, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Whiteville, North Carolina, on June 14, 1944. She was married on October 1st, 1962, to Claude McCuiston. They were married for 56 years until he passed.
She worked at CVS, formerly known as Eckerd Drugs, as a pharmacy technician for 35 years before she retired. She loved cooking meals for her family or anyone who would stop by and sit at the kitchen table. All that she cooked was delicious, but her homemade biscuits cannot be duplicated. She never used recipes, it was her own art form. She loved having family gatherings at her house. Thanksgiving and Christmas holds many special memories for her family. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her many plants. Her favorite channels were QVC and Hallmark. She loved to talk about her granddaughters to anyone who would listen.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McCuiston (Kevin), granddaughters, Kylie McCuiston, Wynter Craft, and Kalyssa Craft, and her brother and sisters, Tom Sasser, Wanda Dilly, Buck (Linda) Sasser, Gene (Terry) Sasser, and Wayne Sasser.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Annie Sasser, her sister, Pauline Dyson, her husband, Claude McCuiston, and her son, Ricky McCuiston.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
