Maureen Miller, 81, of Ocoee, FL went to be with our Lord on Nov. 24, 2013. She was born in Barrett, West Virginia on June 20, 1932. She was married to the late MacConley Miller for 53 years. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years before becoming a valuable employee of 33 years at Winter Garden Citrus Cooperative. She was raised during the depression, and was part of the greatest generation. She brought up a son and daughter during the turbulent 60s and 70s, to whom she imparted her strong value system, morals, and work ethic. She adapted to the technology era and mellowed out in the Millennium age. Her passions were God, family, and her country. She was an accomplished biscuit maker, chocolate cream pie creator, and ardent lover of crispy bacon and black coffee. Maureen loved the outdoors, gardening, spending time with family, and reading the bible.
She is survived by her sisters, Loretta Hunter, Faye Canaday, and Dolores Legler; her daughter Rita and husband Tom Moise; her son Rondel and wife Sue and their daughters Rebecca Miller, Donna and her husband Gordon Remiger, and their sons Eric and Adam, and by a lifetime of loving friends.
The Graveside Service will be held Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to The Hospice of the Comforter Foundation 496 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
Arrangements are under the care of WOODLAWN MEMORIAL PARK & FUNERAL HOME, www.woodlawnfuneralhomegotha.com.
