Merida was a proud graduate of Utuado High School. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Teodoro Maldonado, and together they built a beautiful life and family.
Throughout her career, Merida worked as an engraver for Ashburn Engraving and S & M Engraving Companies, where she was known for her dedication and skill. She was also a devoted member of The Daughters of Mary and found great joy in her faith, gardening, caring for animals, and spending time outdoors.
Merida is survived by her loving children, Robert, Maritza, and Diana; her cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Edward, Melinda, Brandon, Cassandra, Magen, Teddy and Tiffany; and her adored great-grandchildren, Teddy, Alison, and Gabriel. She is also survived by her brother, Wilfredo, and sister, Carmen.
Merida will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
