Michael McParland, age 88 of Orlando, passed away after a short illness on June 7, 2011. He was born in Close, WV on January 28, 1923. He worked as a Barber in Kentucky and later became a Restaurant Manager working in Indiana, Kentucky and Florida. After his retirement, he then went to work for another 20 years at the Orange Lake Country Club in Kissimmee. He also served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. His passion was his family and for golf. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred McParland. Michael is survived by his wife Carol; his sister; 4 children; 3 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in memory of Mr. McParland.
