Our beloved mother and grandmother, Michele Basile, passed away suddenly on March 3, 2025. She was 71. She was the best Mother, Mimi, and friend anyone could have. Michele was known for her unwavering support and would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She was at ease in her own skin, proudly embracing her Italian roots and never shying away from sharing her spicy opinions. She is survived by her daughter Candice Scott (45), Son-in-Law Jason Scott and three grandchildren who made up her entire world, Lyla (age 14), Blaine (age 12), and Bodie (age 10). Michele was a 1971 graduate of Evans High School.

Besides her daughter, Michele is survived by her siblings Jimmy Basile, Joey Basile and Teresa Basile; Other beloved family members include Glenn and Patti Barnard, Lee and Ellen Watko, Janet Burke and Courtney and Daniel Keigans and many loving cousins and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3681 Broadway Street on Sunday, March 16th from 11am to 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to Pet Alliance of Orlando in Michele’s name.
