Nicholas James Pucci, 42, passed away into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Nick was born on April 15, 1972 to Peter and Francine Pucci in Hackensack, NJ. He was a son and brother who brought laughter and love from the beginning. He grew up in New Jersey, playing all day, every day with his brother and sister, Pete and Franny. Nick was the happiest when he was outdoors...dirt bikes, fishing, hunting...anything outside with an engine or a weapon, and he was grinning ear to ear! But Nicky was also sensitive to others, and his empathy drove him to bring home every wounded animal in the neighborhood. Nick was an athlete and an artist, a rare combination of strength and sensitivity. He was a championship wrestler and his artistic attention to detail was best seen in his penciled portrait drawings. He was the popular kid on the block with his Honda dirt bike and his red sporty Subaru, which stopped him from taking Mom's Jeep for joyrides! Nick moved to Florida with his family when he was 15, and graduated from Dr. Philips High School in 1990. Nicky started a landscaping business with his brother, and drove him crazy as the unofficial "Director of Marketing and Fun times"! You could never stay mad at Nicky though, with that mischievous smile and twinkling eyes! Nick had a heart of gold and he was comfortable talking to everyone, from CEOs to the poorest of the poor.
Children reinvent your world for you, and Nick’s world revolved around his beautiful daughter Nicole Marie, whom he loved and adored. Nicole has Nick's sense of humor and kind heart, and we can feel him watching over her.
The extraordinary beauty and ineffable mystery of Nicholas Pucci's soul lives on, as does our love for him. His life is celebrated for all the joy and love he has brought to us, and we know that his soul is at peace. Nick, you are so deeply loved that we can never truly lose you, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.
In addition to his beloved daughter Nicole Pucci, he leaves behind his parents Peter and Francine Pucci, his brother Pete Pucci, sister Fran Pucci, his aunt and uncle Maria and Theodore Pierson, beloved niece Gianna Marie, cousins T.J. (& Lyndonna) Pierson of NYC, cousins Connie (& Lenny) Santangelo of Breckenridge, Colorado, grandmother Constance Pucci, and many more friends and relatives.
A funeral mass will be said Thursday, February 19 at 1:00PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando. The family has requested that any donations be given in Nick’s name to Nicole M. Pucci, 8632 Willow Kane Court, Orlando FL 32835. Any monies will be used for his daughter’s education.
