August 21, 1925 – April 24, 2020
Nilah Ruth Loughry, age 94, was born in Montrose, WV to parents Garnette and Attie Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Leonard and Gerald Martin, husband of 47 years Darl Loughry, and daughter Esther.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa Turner and husband Stephen, two step sons Scott and Michael Turner and eight step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece Aletha Crostin and nephew Gary Martin, both in West Virginia.
Nilah attended Elkins High School class of 1944 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended WV Business College in Clarksburg, WV.
They moved to Orlando, FL in August 1959. She worked in office supplies for over 20 years, plus other jobs. She taught Sunday school for over 40 years in the Methodist and Assembly of God Churches.
This will be a closed service due to numbers regulations currently in place.
