

Otis Pace, 97, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday May 27, 2015. Otis was born in Saluda, North Carolina on April 11, 1918 to the late Jesse and Mary Ann Pace. Otis was a member of Powers Drive Baptist Church since 1965 and served as a deacon. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WW II and landing on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on June 6, 1944. Upon his discharge in October, 1945, he returned to Orlando, Florida where his family had moved from North Carolina. Otis worked at Armour and Company Meat Packing and then started his own Landscaping business, Pace Lawn Services. Otis retired from his lawn care business in January 2013 at the age of 94. Otis was preceded in death by his first wife Ova Pace his son Edward Henry Pace four brothers and eight sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Delores Pace, daughter, Vivian Napier, Sandra Ann Howell, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step children, Mary Gazzola, Daniel Ekdahl, Stephen Ekdahl and Karin Brantner. He also is survived by five step-grandchildren and nine step- great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a service to follow at 11:00am at Powers Drive Baptist Church 3311 N. Powers Dr. Orlando, Florida 32818. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church with a committal service and military honors to follow at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home is entrusted to arrangements.
