Pedro Fernandez

On Monday, October 2, 2023, Pedro Fernández peacefully fell asleep in death while surround by his family. Pedro Fernández was born to the late Eloy and Altagracia (Germosen) Fernández on May 1, 1935 in Bonao, Dominican Republic. During his youth, Pedro served with honor in the military of the Dominican Republic. In the Spring of 1957, Pedro married his best friend, Alejandrina (loving known as Nina) and began their family in the Dominican Republic. Pedro was a hard worker. In 1967 he emigrated to the United States. While working two jobs, he was able to not only provide for his family, but also travel to visit and spend quality time with his wife and children. Eventually, he was able to relocate his entire family to New York City. Pedro dedicated his life on October 6, 2006 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served faithfully until the end. He loved his brothers and sisters in faith. Pedro was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who dedicated many years of his life to helping others. His closest friends became his family!

El lunes 2 de octubre de 2023, Pedro Fernández pauso su vida rodeado de su querida familia. Nació el 1 de mayo de 1935 en Bonao, República Dominicana. Durante su juventud, sirvió en el ejército durante el periodo de gobierno de Trujillo. En la primavera de 1957 Pedro se casó con su mejor amiga, Alejandrina (conocida cariñosamente como Nina) y empezaron su vida de casados engendrando una gran familia. Era un hombre muy trabajador, en 1967 emigró a este país y empezó a trabajar dos jornadas para mantener a su familia en la República Dominicana y también los visitaba y pasaba tiempo de calidad con su esposa e hijos. Eventualmente, traslado a toda su familia a la ciudad de Nueva York. Dedicó su vida para servir a Jehová el 6 de octubre de 2006 y le sirvió fielmente hasta que pauso su vida. Amaba a las personas incluyendo a sus hermanos en la fe. Pedro fue amado por sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos y dedicó muchos años de su vida a cuidarlos y ayudarlos a crecer. ¡Sus amigos más cercanos se convirtieron en su familia!

A visitation for Pedro will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
