Poonwasie Ramsundar

Paul was born in Trinidad on August 22, 1941. In July 1962, he married the love of his life, Deokie Rambhajan, and together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and service.

Paul worked as an Oil Processor for Hovensa/Hess and was a dedicated leader at the Shree Ram Naya Sabha Hindu Temple in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He took great pride in spreading the Hindu faith and providing devoted service to the community.

Outside of his work and spiritual service, Paul enjoyed fishing, gardening, and caring for his plants. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him their source of wisdom and laughter.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Deokie Rambhajan, along with her siblings Ramnarine, Siewnarine, and Ramgutie, and their families.

He leaves behind his daughter Dhandai Goberdhan and her husband Krishram Goberdhan; Grandchildren Vindhya Goberdhan, Rajen Goberdhan, Ajay Goberdhan (wife Shivani), and Arvind Goberdhan (wife Krystel Seguismundo-Goberdhan); and great-grandchildren Amara Jane and KrystAngelo.

He is also survived by his cherished siblings Sarjudai, Geeta, Shanti, Janaki, Seeta, Deotie, Bhandai, Kissundai, Ganesh, and Heralal, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his siblings Siewbocas and Sundarbasie.

Paul will be remembered for his selfless spirit, his faith, and his devotion to family and community. His legacy lives on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.

A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, on October 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on October 3, 2025, from 8:30 am to 11:45 am.

A witness cremation will follow at Woodlawn Crematory, also located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, on October 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
