Dick graduate from Boone High School and received an engineering degree from University of Central Florida.
He married Sharon on January 17, 1981. Dick had a career in telecommunications for many industry leading companies.
He was a member of BICSI and a founding father of Florida Epsilon now ΣΑΕ Fraternity and had a passion for motorcycles, golf and being 15 minutes early.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, children, Heath Powell and Tiffany Hage; step children, Elesa Berard and Jennifer Kirkland, grandchildren, Ethan, Ashton, Hunter, Peyton and step grandchildren, Jacob, Evan, Ella and Hart.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 11am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. Family only is expected at the graveside burial as there will be no reception at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel For Towers.
