Robert “Bob” George Polek, 80, of Orlando, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 11, 2015. He was born on September 25, 1934 in Milford, CT. to the late Frank and Viola Polek. Bob was a Licensed General Contractor and co-founder of Gutter King. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Orlando. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, and golfer. Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty years Alice Polek, daughters, Kathleen (Don) Smithers, Darlene (Don) Stewart, and Charlene (Nick) Lane, sister, Viola (Art) Fischer, eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday February 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at 11:00am at the church. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Park with a reception to follow at the church. Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
