

She was born on September 5, 1942 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to Virginia Fillius Woolston and William (Bill) S. Woolston. She is preceded in death by her two brothers Authur (Toby) Fillius, Toast, NC and Billy F. Fillius, Mt. Holly, NJ, her Mother and Father. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert (Bob) F. Robinson, Orlando, FL, her daughters Lori and husband Tim Gurney, of Portland, ME; Linda and husband Steve Kaplan of Merritt Island, FL; her son Mark and wife Renee Robinson of New Smyrna Beach, FL. And daughter-in-law, Alina Robinson of Winter Garden, FL. Rose was lovingly known as “Honey” to her five grandchildren Zachary, Aubrey, Cory, Alexis and Connor.
After graduating from Lincoln College Prep School in Philadelphia she married Bob on June 3, 1961. As a Navy family, the family then traveled throughout the United States. One of her favorite tours of duty was their two stays in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she devoted her time to raising a family. She would also travel during this time to meet Bob in Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia. After retiring in 1981 they settled in Casselberry, FL. Rose worked as a cafeteria cashier at Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. Shortly after that they relocated to West Orlando, FL, where she enjoyed cooking and baking. Her next career choice was to join the Walt Disney World Culinary School. She would later become the Pastry Chef at Bay Hill Country Club for eight years; retiring in 2003. Rose and Bob loved to cruise for vacation and traveled to many destinations including several Disney cruises, a Transatlantic cruise along with trips to Alaska and Greece. Rose was kind-hearted and much beloved. Rose attended First Baptist Church Orlando.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Gotha, FL.
