He was born in Orlando, Florida on October 5, 1926 to the late Robert E. and Harriette (Titus) Duckworth.
Sedgwick served his country in the US Navy in World War II; and, served his community as a teacher by trade. He met his late wife, Ruby, in church and was married to her for over 67 years. In his free time, Sedgwick liked to paint and kept a garden of flowers and vegetables.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife; and, children Dennis A. Duckworth & Lyn E. Logue.
Sedgwick is survived by his son, Craig Duckworth.
