Please join me in celebrating the life of Sharon Pierce Vance on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Woodlawn Funeral Home. It will start with a visitation from 1 – 2 p.m. and then a celebration of life service from 2 – 3 p.m.; followed by a wake at The Whiskey (subject to change) where we’ll raise a glass and toast Sharon.
During the celebration of life there will be an opportunity for those who wish to share a story or a treasured moment about our beloved Sharon.
For those that are not able to join I’ll share a link to watch it via live stream on YouTube the day of and then for those that are not able to do that I’ll send out a link of the recording.
I look forward to visiting with everyone and cherishing all the memories about my Mom.
Sharon Pierce Vance passed away too soon from complications due to Covid on December 11, 2022; 4 days after her 71st birthday. She lived in Orlando, Fla. by way of Sharon, Pa.
Sharon graduated from Sharon High School in 1969 and has kept in touch with so many of her childhood friends. After high school she went to Purdue where she got her “Mrs.” degree and married Walter Pierce, they had a daughter Christina. Shortly after they moved to Miami where she attended Florida International Institute, became a Certified Public Accountant and went on to have a long and varied career. She was a jokester and brought joy to everyone she worked with over the years.
She recently retired and spent her time with friends at happy hours, brunch seeing local musicians, the movies or simply handing out.
My mom was a patron of the arts and enjoyed music.
The outpouring of love and gratitude has been tremendous, and she loved everyone.
A memorial service will be planned for after the holiday. Please sign up for updates to receive details once they are available.
Raising a glass of wine to my mom, love you back Christy Pierce.
