

Shirley Ann Dye, age 72, of Leesburg, FL entered into the Kingdom of Heaven, Sunday March 17, 2013 after battling a lengthy illness she passed peacefully at her home. Shirley was the daughter of Austin and Carrie Fowler, and the devoted wife of the late Roy T. Dye for over 50 years. Shirley was a long time member at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church and was very active in the Prayer Ministry. She was very faithful, and had a heart that exuded love and affection for everyone that was a part of her life. She lived for her family and her faith in the Lord Jesus her Savior. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing hymns and gospel music. She also loved to water ski, snow ski, go to movies, play cards and just enjoy life. She had the gift of hospitality and was an awesome cook as well and served many in her life. She was also very active in the Mid-Florida Homebuilders Association, Women's Auxiliary. She volunteered in many areas of her life for her children, friends and family which brought her continual joy that she reflected back to everyone. She was a beautiful woman and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her sister Patty Sue. She is survived by her daughter Cherylann (David); son Richard A. "Rick" Dye; brothers Rue (Kathy) McKinney and Jimmie Ray (Margie) McKinney; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St Pauls Presbyterian Church, 1450 Citrus Oaks Ave., Gotha, FL 34734 with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
