She married Larry Pruitt in 1964 and divorced in 1979.
Shirley had a career in Account Executive-Sales for Huges Supply and was involved with animal rescue (non-organization/private). She had a passion for animals, dogs, cats, racoons, anything on 4 legs. She used to ride motorcycles, go "shopping" (garage sales), lighthouses, an helped the homeless with shelter, food and money.
She is survived by her nieces, Heather Mathews and Holly Mathews, nephew, Paul Mathews and brother, Robert W. Mathews.
A celebration of life will be held in December.
