Shirley was retired from the Orange County Sheriff's Office but her true calling in life was as a wife, mother and grandmother. Some of her hobbies included reading, travelling, playing slot machines, sunbathing at the beach and playing video games. Family was of utmost importance to her and one interesting fact is that " her children and grandchildren were always right!" She enjoyed shopping for her family especially around the holidays.
A famous family story was how Don and Shirley had their first date at the Steak N Shake located on Orange Avenue in Winter Park in 1960.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Pugh, Sr., two sons, Donald Pugh, Jr. and Michael Pugh and his wife Sharon Raulerson Pugh. She is also survived by one daughter, Victoria Horton Pugh, two grandsons, DJ Pugh and Austen Horton and one granddaughter, Courtney Horton.
