

Valrie graduated from Shortwood Teacher's College and later received a Bachelor's degree from Kensington University.
She married Arthur Nathaniel Johnson on April 15, 1963.
Valrie had a career as a school principal for Barneyside All Age School in Jamaica and later in the private sector at Castle Harlan.
She was a member of the Holy Family Episcopal Church and Pine Hills Seniors, Inc., and had a passion for travel, gardening, and baking.
Valrie is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; children, Rubylyn, Lois, Paul, Allan and Dayna; grandchildren, Avril, Tassanee, Wayne Jr., Alana, Nathaniel, Emanuel, Caleb, Felton, Barack and Chiloh; great grandchildren, Gazan and Oneika and siblings, Dorothy, Conrad, Oswald (Dudu), Delphy, Elaine, Mary (Aggie), and Vera. She was preceded in death by brother Sepron.
A visitation for Valrie will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5-8pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734 and from 10:00am to time of funeral at the church on Friday. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11am at Grace Bible Church of Central Florida, 801 Dorscher Rd, Orlando, FL 32818. A committal service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL
Repast will be held at the Metro West Church of the Nazarene, 3705 N. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32818 following the committal service.
