

Vivian R. Barber, age 93, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, in Brunswick, Georgia. She was a lifetime resident of Florida. She was born on July 12, 1919, to Homer and Iva Bass, in St. Cloud, Florida.
She married her husband, Henry Barber, in 1939, in St, Cloud, FL. They were married for 67 years before his passing in 2006. They had two children; Gloria (and her husband, Gene) Adkins, and Henry Eugene (and his wife, Gwen) Barber; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She has a sister, Vera Marion, and her brother, Ralph Warfield, preceded her in death.
Vivian retired as a secretary from the Florida State Employment Services. She was a member of Powers Drive Baptist Church for over 42 years, serving as a Sunday School Teacher. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 64 years, and continued teaching until one year ago. She had a passion for sewing, crocheting, gardening, traveling, and cooking for her family.
The family will receive guests on Monday, December 3, 2012, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl. 34734), with a service at 2:00 pm. Following the service, she will be buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
