

Alma Starkey, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Inverness, Florida. She was born in 1916 in Fostoria, Michigan to parents Percy and Mae Edgeworth. She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1933. On June 13, 1936 she married the love of her life, Walter Starkey, in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was a devout Seventh-day Adventist and attended South Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years. Alma is survived by her daughter, Ann (Albert) Wyckoff; grandchildren: Carla (Mark) Keyes, Lisa (Bob) Mason, Duane (Becky West) Fivecoate, Karen (Bruce) Whitman, Jeff Fivecoate, Brian (Nancy) Rousseau, Steve (Cristal) Rousseau; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Starkey; daughter, Jean Rousseau; sons-in-law, Hugh Rousseau and Carl Fivecoate; and 8 siblings. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Hill Funeral Home (11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc). The visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2-8pm. Pastor Christopher Ames officiating. Interment to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to South Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
