Catherine Adams Hampton

HAMPTON, Catherine – of Flint, age 85, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI with Rev. Dr. Matthew Webster officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Catherine was born in Flint, Michigan on June 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Adams. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, travel and playing bingo. Surviving are: her husband of 65 years, Bill Hampton; children, Donna Blankenship and friend Jeff Sloan, Linda Lane and husband Loran, and Beverly Proffitt and husband Gene; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by her son, Billy. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Avalon Hospice and the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center.
