I met Chris when he was 9 or 10 yrs old. Back then, I was in high school when the Howard’s moved-in down the street & I became fast friends with his older brother, Tom. We could easily walk to each other’s house so I stopped by often, getting to know the family & feeling very at home while hanging-out in Tom’s room. It was one-of-those houses and they were one-of-those family's that I associate with my youth & because of it, I have vivid recollections of being there. Most often, we’d pass the time with Tom picking at his guitar or just playing music way too loud to keep his mom, at all, happy with us. And while Natalie and Tom were closer in age, it was always Chris who was the fixture in that room with us, trying to blend in, trying to be older, just trying to be one of the guys. Myself, I was the youngest of 3, like Chris, and never had a younger sibling. I knew what it was like to be him, to be the last-in-line & I probably had a little more patience with him when he made those incursions into his older brother’s room. Now, Tom was more than tolerant, in fact, very accepting but I was interested. Interested in what a younger brother wondered about his older brother’s life, his friends, where they were in life & when he was older, if it’d be at all the same for him. He was gauging his future by watching and learning from us. And you know what? Over time & in retrospect, it wasn’t what Chris found out about us, it’s what we, or more accurately I, found out about him. For a young kid he had questions…lots of questions…often very thoughtful questions, insightful questions that really made me think. He always wanted to know & understand more, he had an incessantly inquisitive nature. Chris has left us too soon & with more questions than answers but one thing, for sure, is I learned a little bit about what it might be like to have a younger brother & for that  - I thank Chris & wish I could hear, at least, one more question from him..."I'm listening, buddy"

It is unbelievably sad to hear of Christopher's passing. We pray that God will give your household peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

I am so heartbroken.. we never know when we will be called from this earth. I pray my cousin was greeted by our sweet Nana, as I know how special she was to Chris. I am grateful that we were able to reconnect after several years of not seeing eachother - and it was like like no time passed! Chris and I would always get right to heart of things and have deep conversations; he was such a passionate and sincere person- you don’t find people like that anymore. Even tho my son and husband had only met him a couple times- he made such an impression on both of them- as I am sure he often does- with his big personality and shining smile.  

We will miss you cousin-I love you!

Chris made me laugh every day.  He loved his family and talked about everyone often. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you. He was a class act and he will be missed ❤️

Seeing this picture of Christopher  as a young man reminded me of  a favorite picture I have of him as a young boy. One thing is for sure, his smile never changed! Blessed to have Chris for a cousin - sadden that so much time has gone by since I last saw him. Rest In Peace Chris.❤️

I worked with Chris quite a bit he was a friend of mine. He would always make me laugh. He was a straight shooter who always called it like he saw it. He would talk about going to his sons basketball and football games. More recently he told me about watching a movie with his daughter and his family and how much he cherished it.

I went through the department of corrections academy with Chris then worked at Parnall Correctional facility with him for three years. he was always passionate and full of energy!!! He will
be greatly missed!! 

Howard and I were having a light hearted debate at work Wednesday about a rapper we both use to listen to back in the day. We were debating on what our favorite album was. You will be missed Howard, prayers to you and your family.

Chris was my car pool buddy when we used to work at Jackson. He was a great guy who was always genuine. I hope his family is well.

I worked with Chris at Tcf the guy was very funny and hilarious he is already missed beyond words my heart goes out to his family love you man

Chris was awesome guy. I couldn’t walk past him at work without stopping to talk to him. Chris would make me laugh so hard my stomach and face would hurt. I’d sometimes call him at work just to get a dose of comedy to brighten up my day. It’s definitely quieter without him around and he’ll be greatly missed. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with him.
