It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of Cindy Eisenberg after a hard fought battle with cancer. Cindy, known to her loved ones as Ninney or Auntie, passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by her family and friends.
A fierce and loyal friend, she lived her life with such generosity and care for those around her. She filled her space with love, laughter and fun. Her home on Tipsico Lake brought her and her found family a lifetime of memories. Whether it was bunco parties, book clubs, golf outings or even football Sunday, she brought the party and kept all her friends well-fed. She loved to host and cook for her loved ones and it was considered a faux pas to arrive at her house with a full stomach. She also made sure to be present in everyone's life. She made every effort to show up to every event whether it was sports events, graduations, birthday parties, or just taking a trip to visit those she loved in Wisconsin and New Hampshire. If she wasn't hosting on the lake or visiting family, you could find her at her favorite beach destinations; Aruba, Punta Cana and Ft. Myers Beach.
While she may be gone and our hearts may be broken, she was a woman who touched the life of every person she met and made it known how much she loved them. She will live forever in her sisters, Cheril (David) Crown and Patty (Ron) Swaneck, along with their families: Stefan (Stacy) Crown, Irelyn Crown, Jameson Crown, Colton Crown; Neiko (Jeff) Lavery and Adeline Lavery; Torey (John) Preston; Jacob (Elise) Swaneck; and Sara Swaneck; and her sister from another mother, Kelly (John) Berry, and the Berry children—Patrick, Kevin, Meghan, Jack, Margaret, and Nallely. Cindy will also live on in the hearts of her beloved Tipsico Lake family. She is predeceased by the love of her life Stanley Eisenberg, her mother Emma Allen, and her kitty. Cindy will be memorialized at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly alongside her husband, Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made either to the Jewish War Veterans, Post 135 Cindy Eisenberg, PO Box 725066, Berkley MI 48072 or to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, Contributions - VE01FS, 4100 John R, Detroit, MI 48201, or online at https://www.karmanos.org/karmanos-foundation/tribute-gifts-karmanos-foundation.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at a later date to honor the life and legacy of this remarkable woman.
