David Lucas

10 May 2019

Don was a very close friend of the Lucas family for much of his life, having met my father Bill when they both served in the military during WWII. After the war he settled in Southgate while my dad lived in neighboring Lincoln Park. As time went on my siblings and I shared good times with his children Don, Jim and Cheryl. (I escorted Cheryl to a school dance, and attended Jim's wedding.) He was a source of strength and sympathy for my mother when my dad passed on, and stayed in touch with us frequently, and often attended family get-togethers in the summer. His passing has left a big hole in many people's lives, and I will remember him with immense fondness.
