Douglas Lee Morris

MORRIS, DOUGLAS LEE age 88, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Rev. Roland Drummond officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Douglas was born December 24, 1926 in Midland, MI to parents Forrest and Audrey (Brimmer) Morris. He retired from A.C. Spark Plug in 1987. Douglas was a member of the Model “A” Club, the Woodwork Club, the Krapohl Senior Center, volunteered at the Sloan Museum, taught at General Motors Institute. And was an avid Ham Radio operator. He served in the Army Air Corp. working on the Enola Gay, B-29 Plane. Douglas received his pilots license at age 17. Surviving are children Rhonda (Tim) Lawrence, Chyerl (Jesse) Snow, Kelly (Sandy) Morris, Lee (Amy) Morris; partner Mary Alcorn; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Bud (Nancy) Morris; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Dolores in 1981.
